Programs & Services
Health Education
& Youth Development
Our youth development programs are designed to nurture the potential of young people and veterans, providing them with the tools and opportunities to succeed. We offer after-school programs, mentorship, and leadership training that focus on academic achievement, life skills, and emotional intelligence. These initiatives help youth build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a sense of responsibility and purpose. By investing in our youth, we are cultivating the next generation of leaders who will drive positive change in their communities.
Violence Prevention
& Intervention
Violence is a significant barrier to health and well-being, particularly in urban areas. Urban Outreach's violence prevention programs aim to reduce violence through community engagement, education, and intervention. We work closely with schools, law enforcement, and community organizations to implement strategies that address the root causes of violence. Our programs include conflict resolution training, support for victims of violence, and initiatives to create safe spaces for youth. By addressing violence, we are fostering safer, healthier communities where individuals can thrive without fear.
Workforce Development
& Revitalization
Economic stability is a critical determinant of health. Our workforce development programs aim to equip individuals with the skills and opportunities needed to secure stable, well-paying jobs. We offer job training, resume building workshops, and career counseling, focusing on industries that provide sustainable employment. By partnering with local businesses and educational institutions, we create pathways to employment that contribute to economic growth and individual prosperity. These efforts help break the cycle of poverty and improve economic stability.

Our Target
Demographics
Our overarching goal is to uplift and empower those who are often overlooked and underserved. Our target demographic includes urban and inner-city residents, ages 11 to 35, who face significant challenges and barriers to success. These individuals are in urgent need of employment opportunities, support services, and comprehensive programs tailored to address their unique circumstances. One of our primary focuses is on providing resources and guidance to those seeking employment. Many urban and inner-city residents struggle to find stable, well-paying jobs due to a lack of access to education, training, and professional networks.
We also extend our support to at-risk youth, who are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of their environment. These young individuals often face challenges such as inadequate education, exposure to violence, and limited opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our youth development programs provide academic support, mentorship, and leadership training to help them build confidence, develop critical skills, and realize their full potential.
Our President, Dr. Princess Lomax is a partner with The Daughters of Englewood & We R’ Englewood organizations, both dedicated to hosting charity events that support the residents of the Englewood community.
Her passion lies in leading a weekly Women Empowerment Series, where a group of 25 women gather to study the workbook “Empowered Women Win!” Princess is committed to fostering a community where women come together to support, empower, uplift, inspire, and pray for one another.
